A restful morning in the hotel until being picked up at 1230 hours and doing more tourist things again. When driving through Yangon I had noticed some particular old buildings and asked to be taken to them. They were the cinemas, where there were five on one short street, government offices, railway station and churches. Although the old building were good to see I was more than surprised at the gorgeous catholic cathedral which was built in 1911. It was really splendid and very up to date having television screens along the nave so that the congregation could see what was going on near the altar. The two flowering trees at the rear of the nave made a special touch, or so I thought.
